An update on the Poomsae Referee Department and roles currently available.
We have come a long way since our Poomsae Referee Technical Department was formed in 2020 and it’s great to see so many Poomsae referees participating in competitions across the country and internationally over the last few years.
A lot of that is due to the dedicated voluntary work of people including Gerry Reilly, Glen Culbert, Carolina Barros Clarke and Sian Reilly, who put themselves forwards during the pandemic to help professionalise our Poomsae referee education and management structures and provide formal courses, referee training, event management and policies that make officiating in Poomsae enjoyable for a great many people now!
British Taekwondo would like to say a huge thank you to them for their selfless contribution.
As some of them come to the end of their terms and step down, there are several leadership opportunities coming up for people within our Poomsae community who would like to give something back and help improve the experience of our growing family of Poomsae Referees.
