A report from the latest British Taekwondo Poomsae Referee Course.

The Poomsae Referee Department held its latest Class 3 Qualification Course at Bluewave Korean Martial Arts in Basingstoke, Hampshire on Sunday 7th August.

The session was open to British Taekwondo members looking to become new referees and also served as a refresher that was open to all National Referees.

The Poomsae Referee course was led by the department’s Referee Director, Master Glen Culbert and was attended by thirteen members who got involved in some great discussions and asked a lot of questions.

Commenting on the session Master Culbert said “I was very impressed by the knowledge of poomsae shown by the attendees. It was once again excellent to see new referees qualifying and the department looks forward to seeing them at events in the near future.”

The next Poomsae Referee course will be a Para Poomsae Referee Qualification and Refresher on Sunday 16th October. This will be an online course and open to Class 2 National Referees and above. Registration for the course is now open, with tickets available via the British Taekwondo Poomsae Referee Department’s Eventbrite page.
