- Only British Taekwondo members (instructors and regular members) can submit nominations.
- Only British Taekwondo members can receive nominations (club, instructors and regular members depending on the Award criteria)
- Each British Taekwondo member may make only one nomination per award category.
- There is no limit to the number of times an individual can be nominated overall, but only one nomination will be considered by the panel. I.e. multiple nominations will not increase the likelihood of winning an award.
- To make or receive a nomination a member cannot be suspended, under investigation, engaged in a complaint process or otherwise not in good standing with British Taekwondo.

British Taekwondo Lifetime Achievement Award Nomination
The British Taekwondo Lifetime Achievement Award is a special award to recognise a member of British Taekwondo who has dedicated a lifetime of service to the sport. The recipient will have displayed a commitment to the values of British Taekwondo and the tenets of Taekwondo over an extended period and have made a major contribution to the development and progression of the sport. This award may not be presented every year.

- Nominee minimum age: 50 years of age
