A report from the recent ‘All Classes’ Poomsae Referee Course in Birmingham.

British Taekwondo’s Poomsae Referee Department held its latest ‘All Classes’ National Referee course at the Blue Coat School in Birmingham on Sunday 21st May.

There were 24 enthusiastic attendees, some who were just starting out on the referee pathway through to two who were attending for promotion to Class 1.

The attendees had the opportunity to gain insight into the World Taekwondo Poomsae Competition rules and application, plenty of scoring practice, a practical session covering key deduction points and presentation, as well as time for discussion. The course was tutored by Master Bilal Naqshbandi, and superbly hosted by Fabian Burkhardt and Marianna Hurst.
