Peter Johnson at the World Taekwondo Poomsae Open Challenge

More British Success at World Taekwondo Poomsae Open Challenge!

Congratulations again to Peter Johnson who took another World Gold medal in December in the WT World Grand Final virtual challenge.

In an earlier series of WT online events held throughout 2021 Peter took Gold in the U70 Male division. The top 8 winners in each division then played off against each other and Peter scored 7’s in both Poomsae’s to secure the win and grab himself another Gold medal!

No more medals were had on the last Day of the WT world Grand Final,  but Simon Negus (U50 Male) came 5th in the final just missing out on a medal and Sheena  Au Yeung came 7th in the U40 female. Simon Newbie and daughter Evie in the sibling pairs also came 5th, just missing out on a medal, but rounding off a series of good performances overall

A huge well done to everyone who took part and continued to train hard throughout the pandemic period.

Look out for details of the regular GB Poomsae squad training and get involved!!!
