This Sunday sees the return of our combat sport National Championships after a 2 year wait due to the Covid pandemic shutdowns and it will be great to see our Kyorugi community together again on Sunday 7th November, at the iconic Copper Box Arena on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
British Nationals is also one of the main criteria to form our 2022 National squad alongside other competition events locally and internationally. All medal winners will receive an invitation from our Sport Performance Department to join the 2022 National Squad so look out for that invitation should you medal on Sunday!
The Covid adapted event is slightly different in format to other years, so might feel a little different. We still have 600 athletes competing for National titles, supported by over 50 referees from home and abroad, so it will be a great day of competition for all.
We also ask all athletes, officials and spectators to be considerate to everyone else as we all have to adapt to the Covid measures that may be in place at the venue – so please show our hosts at the Copper box a great example of Taekwondo values.
The venue and BT have a zero tolerance policy for anti-social behaviour both on the court and around the venue generally.
Good luck to everyone taking part !
