We are delighted to announce that our Vice-President Mr Usman Dildar has been appointed as the Technical Controller at the Tokyo Paralympic Games.
In his role as the Games Chair of the Para-Taekwondo, Usman said “We have seen some great successes recently at the Olympic Games and I am excited to equally see Para-Taekwondo athletes compete at this historical Paralympic Games as Para-Taekwondo makes its debut as a Para Sport in Tokyo.
World Taekwondo Para has been working tremendously hard to propagate the Para Taekwondo movement and it is amazing to see all our hard work finally come to fruition in providing our Para Taekwondo athletes access to the highest sporting event in the world.”
He adds, in his role as VP of British Taekwondo “Come on Team GB!”
Usman is joined in Tokyo by International Referee Clare Laybourne. Following a 2 year selection process, Clare was selected to Referee at the Paralympic Games as part of a group of 30 International Referees.
Good luck to Usman, Clare and Team GB athletes in Tokyo!
