As we approach further and significant relaxations of the lockdown rules in each of the home nations, we wanted to update everyone about what we know at the moment.
We are still waiting for absolute confirmation from the Westminster government, devolved parliaments and the DCMS, but are hopeful that we can get back to all forms of Taekwondo activity, including competitions, adult sparring, and other types of participation event very soon, where we can see each other in person again!!!!!!!!
We know how desperate so many of you are to get back to this, so wont be long now. A few more weeks of patience – that’s all (hopefully!)
We hope to publish the definitive guidance next week, ahead of the potential lockdown easing dates in each home country. Just waiting for that final government clearance.
Following on from what we publish next week, we will also host a BT Coach Conference Call on Tuesday 20th July, between 4.30pm – 5.30pm to follow up on the published guidance and answer any questions clubs may have.
A zoom link to join the conference call will be sent to all BT coaches next week by email so please look out for that.
Hopefully, if restrictions are lifted entirely, there wont be many questions, but we want to give our clubs the opportunity to share concerns and challenges around unlocking.
For information, we expect announcements from each of the Home Nations during the next week or two, with a view to some kind of full return as follows:
In ENGLAND – from 19th July
In SCOTLAND – from 11th August (could be sooner)
In NORTHERN IRELAND – from 26th July (some restrictions may still apply)
In WALES – (announcement about lifting restrictions due 15th July)
