A Reminder to Coaches – Your Club needs a Welfare Officer

Dear British Taekwondo Coaches,

I hope you’re all well and doing what you can to get through this lockdown.

I’m still missing the names of welfare officers for a number of clubs (many thanks to those who have already sent the details through).

I appreciate clubs are not running as normal at the moment (fingers crossed everybody is back up and running properly again soon!) and not all clubs are able to run sessions online right now, however even if your club is temporarily shut, could I please still ask you to send in this information.

Having this information will allow your Welfare Officer to attend training courses over the coming weeks, with the next course running on Wednesday 3rd February!

If you could please drop a message to myself at safeguarding@britishtaekwondo.org with the name(s) of your Welfare Officer(s), Club(s) attached to and a contact email I would really appreciate it and I can then contact them about the Welfare Officer Training.

Our Welfare Officer training is being run by UK Coaching and a variety of dates are available. They are closed online classroom sessions being run at a cost of £20 per head with a maximum of 12 learners per course.

There are currently 6 spaces available on the next course Wednesday 3rd February 6:30pm – 9:00pm! Please send in your club Welfare Officer information so that you can snatch up one of these spots!

Many thanks,
