British Taekwondo are delighted to announce today the launch of our new volunteer led Martial Art Performance Department after months of consultation and refinement.
We are now looking for talented and experienced British Taekwondo member enthusiasts to join our departmental team, to develop and deliver a long-term strategy for growth, providing technical excellence and participation opportunities for our Martial Art club membership.
This will include helping to develop:
- A series of seminars and technical excellence training opportunities for our most talented Martial Artists
- Specialist training assistance programs for specific genders, our younger / older members, and people with disability
- Best practice examples of common technical syllabus’s for Dan & Kup grades for our clubs to reference
- Upskilling and qualification opportunities for Dan & Kup grade examiners
Once up and running, and getting some exciting participation events on the drawing board for next year, the department will start to develop a 4 year strategic plan to really grow the level of opportunity for our Martial Art clubs, and start exploring ideas for things like an annual Hanmadang festival of Taekwondo, a BT demo team, and other reward & recognition events.
The new department will start small, with 5 departmental management roles as below, and will look to expand, once the strategy is developed and as activity scales up, alongside the creation of a Martial Art events departments working with central BT events staff in the new year.
If you have lots of ideas and passion for the Martial Art side of Taekwondo, and the organisational skills and experience to help shape the future – then please take a look at the roles available below and think about getting involved!
Closing date for applications is 13th December.
