Today marks World Mental Health Day 2020, and therefore we thought this would be a great time to let you know about some free courses that are currently available to you!

  • Understanding Depression & Low Mood in Young People

Understand how to recognise depression and low mood in teenagers and learn how to help.

  • Understanding Autism

Understand more about autism, including diagnosis, the autistic spectrum, and life with autism with this CPD-certified course.

There are lots of other courses on many different topics on the FutureLearn website. Mostly available for free. It has been proven that Lifelong Learning can play a big part in our own mental health wellbeing so check it out.

  • Mental Health Awareness

It teaches the basics of mental health and why it is important to maintain a positive mental attitude. Through the course students will develop their knowledge of the issues which people with mental health problems face.  There isn’t a time line on this course but it costs £20 + VAT and covers units such as What is Mental Health, Risk Factors and Legislation.

They also offer a more substantial Children’s Mental Health Course also for a cost of £20 + Vat.
