We can now confirm the exciting news that this year’s National Kyorugi Championships will be held in the amazing Copperbox Arena, on the Olympic Park in London over the weekend of the 14th & 15th November 2020.
This great venue was the location of the biggest Nationals we ever held in 2016, with 10 courts of brilliant Taekwondo action over the 2 days.
We promised that we would bring the Nationals back to the South and have done that, in one of the best venues around!
Another step up for the Nationals, will be an adjustment to the format and entry criteria.
Last year, we had massive over-subscription to the Advanced categories, which was great – but resulted in a number of top teams and athletes missing out when the capacity was reached.
This years event will feature a higher capacity for Advanced athletes, with categories spread across both days, using full round times for WT categories, with award and photo opportunities – so that being our National Champion is properly recognised in this World Class venue.
A much smaller capacity Novice category event will also take place this year, with new tightened entry criteria, with places offered on a first come first come first served basis.
The full invitation and information pack will be released in May 2020
