STRONG SHOWING BY BRITISH MALES IN THE 7TH WORLD JUNIOR TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIPS

Recent medal rankings reflected a hugely successful tournament in Turkey, with the British male junior team rating fourth from the 74 competing nations. In another good indicator of the potential of our young athletes, Aaron Cook capped a satisfying week by taking the light heavyweight gold.

This recent success now positions Great Britain as the leading force in European Taekwondo for male juniors and second overall. Performance Director, Gary Hall was naturally delighted, ‘I think that this ranking is well deserved and it serves to highlight the development and progression within the team. Both the male and female members of our team performed to the high standards we expect of them making it an exciting future for the sport in the UK.’
