Welcome
Dear President/Head of Team,
On behalf of the British Taekwondo Control Board and Sport Taekwondo UK Ltd I have the pleasure of welcoming you and your Team to the 3rd BTCB British A-Class International.
Now in its third year, our event has become the destination for many National teams and elite athletes wanting top level competition. The British Open is a European “A” Class event and has WTF points G2 ranking status. In 2009 teams from all corners of the world came to the event and had a great time in Manchester.
With the Olympic Games only 2 years away, the British International Open gives teams the ideal opportunity to experience great competition and the British culture.
Manchester is a wonderful vibrant city wanting to welcome and impress overseas visitors. Many sports teams are considering Manchester as a training site for the London Olympic Games.
Once again, we intend to use Electronic body protectors and Video replay systems for Senior divisions to help athletes prepare for upcoming World events.
Good luck with your continued preparation and we look forward to seeing you in Manchester.
Adrian Tranter
Chairman
British Taekwondo Control Board
