President Adrian Tranter meets with new Ambassador to London for the Republic of Korea.

Our President recently met with His Excellency Suk-Hwan Park, back in February, just prior to his trip to Lausanne to visit WTF President Dr Choue.

Ambassador Park was very keen to hear of the success of British Taekwondo following the London Olympic Games, the work we are doing to help Dr Choue and how he can help with future development projects.

The evening concluded with dinner in the embassy, where they both enjoyed a traditional Korean menu.

President Adrian commented “I was delighted to receive an invitation from Ambassador Park to visit him at the Korean Embassy. We spent a most enjoyable time discussing a wide range of cultural and sporting matters surrounding Taekwondo both in Korea & Great Britain. It is pleasing to know that he and his staff are keen to work with us in the future on several interesting opportunities. The evening was topped off with a superb dinner of traditional Korean dishes, during which we got to know each other much better. I would wish to thank Ambassador Park for making me so very welcome and of course his staff, First Secretary Yoonseog Song and Second Secretary Chang Soo Kim, for all of their assistance”.

It is fair to say that this again demonstrates the role that British Taekwondo is playing within the global landscape of our sport and how we can contribute in such a positive way where it matters most.
