17Th WTF INTERNATIONA POOMSAE REFEREE COURSE BELGRADE, SERBIA

The UTA had three representatives attend the 17th WTF Poomsae International Referee course in Serbia on the 2nd to 6th June 2012.

Grand Master TW Shin 9th Dan, Master Peter Johnson 6th Dan and Master Glen Culbert  6th Dan attended and Master Culbert represented the Taekwondo Association of Northern Ireland.
 
The President of the Serbian Taekwondo Federation was present at the opening of the course.This was run over five days, and was the first one detailing the new WTF Poomsae and free Style Poomsae rules.
 
It was a great honour that the UTA Chairman Grand Master TW Shin 9th Dan, IR referee and two times WTF World Poomsae champion was invited to assist in the tuition and coaching of the course at which important new information on the new rules was given in both lectures and practical training with detailed explanation of the key points required.
 

All delegates felt that this was an excellent course with GB Poomsae Referee Judges Manager Master T W Shin, GB Poomsae Media Manager Master Peter Johnson representing British Taekwondo along with GB Poomsae UTA NI Regional Coach Master Glen Culbert all reporting that it was well run, very enjoyable and that they had all benefited by attending.

Their newly acquired knowledge will now be utilised at various events around the UK.
The top scoring Referees at the course could be invited to referee at the WTF World Poomsae Championships in Columbia 2012
