UPDATE: SUCCESS FOR GB JUNIOR WORLDS TEAM, MEXICO

At the close of the Junior Worlds, the Team finished on a high with a Silver medal - Jade Jones, World Silver Medallist, won five games missing marginally to Korea in the final. 

Congratulations go to the Junior Team who have been driven and put in solid performances at this World Championships. No doubt the athletes will waste no time in preparing for their next competitions where there will be more opportunities to pursue challenges and lay down a marker. 

The final days of competition saw Sophie Dickson, Kieran Young and Luke Stones fight with great determination. Sophie made it through to the quarters, beating Italy and Vietnam, despite a nasty foot injury; Kieran fought Peru and went on to the second round losing against Iran and Luke Stones made the third round losing to Russia, beating Nigeria and Kazakstan. 

Here’s to wishing all the athletes a safe journey home and a well deserved few days rest.
