Information Update: World Junior Championships & Youth Olympic Games Qualifiers & Junior Development

STUK has made the decision to cancel the residential Development Training Camps on 8 to 12 February and 15 to 19 February.  Whilst STUK has previously been able to make a contribution to camp and competition costs, we do not have additional funding to reduce participants' costs.  STUK's level of funding has been reduced for the current cycle: 2009-2013.  We recognise that as this will have to be a self funded trip by participants that a training camp would have added excessively to costs.

Whilst costs for attendance to Mexico are very much dependant on travel options/selection, i.e. costs to represent GB at the Qualifiers and Junior Championships involves a longer stay increasing accommodation and food costs, it is anticipated that costs could range from £1,000 to £1,800+.  Costs will be more precise once the team size is defined.

• Selection to represent GB at the WTF World Qualification for the Youth Olympic Games only depart UK Saturday 27 February, return UK Saturday 6 March
• Selection to represent GB at the WTF World Junior Championships only depart UK Tuesday 2 March, return UK Wednesday 10 March
• Selection to represent GB at both of the above depart UK Saturday 27 February, return Wednesday 10 March
