WHEN DID YOU START TAEKWONDO AND WHY: I was 13 and used to get into street fights. My dad, Philip, told me and my brothers to start taekwondo so we could look after ourselves.
OTHER SPORTS PLAYED: Junior football, Saturday and Sunday Leagues. I was a right winger.
HONOURS: 2006 Commonwealth Games gold. 2008 Commonwealth Games silver, 2008 British International gold, 2009 World Championship quarter-finalist, 2009 Korean Open silver, 2009 Belgian Open bronze, 2010 Dutch Open bronze, 2010 British International gold (beating current world champion).
AMBITION: Gold medal at London 2012.
ROLE MODEL/FAVOURITE OTHER SPORTSMAN OR WOMAN: Our coach Paul Green. He's just so professional. His attitude and the effort he puts into his work are brilliant.
WHY SHOULD THE PUBLIC WATCH TAEKWONDO: Fast and dynamic. You can see people knocked out and the entertainment level is only going to get better.
IF SOMEONE GAVE YOU £1 MILLION, WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH IT: No matter how much money I received I'd still keep up taekwondo. Then I'd buy a house and a car, keeping most of it until after I've retired.
