British Taekwondo, The National Governing Body for Olympic Taekwondo, is undertaking an exciting period of change and development. As part of this process, we are relocating our Head Office into the Regional Arena in Manchester, developing and delivering a range of new strategic initiatives across the sport and martial art, developing the services and support we provide to our instructors and clubs and digitalising our membership platforms and communications.
As a result of our relocation, we now need staff who can help us deliver these exciting plans, make a significant contribution to our success and culture and add value to both our organisation and our members.
There are three key roles. These include:
Operations and Projects Manager
An important leadership position that will oversee the operations of the NGB and the delivery of our projects across a wide range of business areas. Supporting and working alongside the CEO, this is a key role that will be central to the growth and development of the organisation. Requires a wide range of operational skills and experience within the sport or leisure landscape, strong interpersonal skills and a personality that can deliver and manage change. The role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in a growing and exciting organisation in the combat sport and martial art marketplace with a youth orientated membership.
Business Services Officer – North
We recognise that our instructors and clubs are the lifeblood of our sport and martial art and have a strategic priority to do more to support them in their delivery. We want to help them create sustainable and successful martial arts businesses and are developing a range of support services and products that will deliver this. Our Business Services Officers are key to this ambition, working directly with our clubs and our partners to support and develop our grassroots infrastructure, the opportunity to practice taekwondo and the experience that we deliver. Needs a strong background and evidence in supporting and developing grassroots sport, delivering club development, sourcing funding and the ability to work with a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset
Membership and CRM Executive
British Taekwondo has embarked on the development and delivery of a new digital platform for membership engagement and management. This platform will empower our membership to run and administer their clubs and membership activities online whilst enabling us to both deliver services and support more directly and connect and communicate in a more regular and meaningful manner. We need someone with a strong membership and services focus, ideally but not necessarily in the sport and leisure sector, an experience of Customer Relationship Management and the ability to work and deliver in the digital space. Forward facing and key to our relationship with our membership you will be able to demonstrate the desire and ability to deliver a high-quality member experience by working closely with our digital and social support teams.
